Bazuka Advance Treatment Pen can be used on warts or verrucas on the feet, hands, body, arms and legs. Warts that appear on or near the face, armpits, breasts, bottom or genital area need specialist advice, it is important to consult your doctor.
Hairs do not normally grow through warts; you must be referred to your GP so the diagnosis can be investigated.
Bazuka Advance Treatment Pen should not be used for more than 6 weeks on individual warts or verrucas, without seeking health professional advice.
If an individual wart or verruca is not removed after 6 weeks or if the warts become bothersome, painful or are rapidly multiplying, you should discuss this with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Bazuka Advance Treatment Pen can be used whenever removal of a wart or verruca is required. However, the treatment must not be applied to a single wart or verruca longer than 6 weeks.
If the wart or verruca is not removed after 6 weeks of treatment you should discuss this with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
The treatment should be applied three times a week. Apply the treatment every other day (on days 1, 3 and 5) followed by 2 days’ rest, repeat until the wart or verruca disappears or for a maximum of 6 weeks.
On first use, be cautious as only a small amount of treatment is required. Start by treating a single wart or verruca for one second to see how the skin reacts. If the skin is unaffected and the treatment is well tolerated, then gradually build up the treatment contact time using the information below as a guide:
• For younger children (ages 8 to 11 years), those with delicate skin, for small warts or verrucas, start cautiously and conservatively and gradually build up the treatment contact time to a maximum of 10 seconds.
• For larger warts or stubborn verrucas on the sole of the feet, again start cautiously and conservatively and gradually build up the treatment contact time to a maximum of 20 seconds.
Make sure to treat the whole wart or verruca but take care not to touch the product onto surrounding healthy skin.
It is important to apply the treatment initially for very short contact times. The precise number of seconds required depends on the size, age and location of the wart or verruca being treated. It is better to apply too little treatment if in doubt.
Bazuka Advance Treatment Pen should not be used at the same time as any other wart or verruca treatments.
If the wart or verruca is not removed after six weeks you should consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Do not shake the pen because this may damage it, causing it to leak. The pen may appear dry, if in doubt, press the tip against a piece of absorbent paper to check there is moisture present. The pen tip is not designed to deliver visible liquid drops.
